Kargil getting key health push with Centre’s support: LG Ladakh | KNO

Kargil, Dec 24 (KNO): Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday said the Centre is providing all possible support to ensure overall development of the health sector in Kargil. Congratulating the people of Kargil LG Gupta, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that despite living in remote and difficult terrain, residents are now receiving improved healthcare facilities. “This has been possible due to the collective efforts of the UT Administration and full backing of the Government of India,” he added. “The hard work was not only done by our elected representatives, but also by the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, who played a significant role. My predecessor, former Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr) Mishra, also made an important contribution,” he said. LG Gupta said the administration remains committed to further strengthening the health sector in Ladakh. “There is a need for technical staff. In the coming times, doctors and technicians will be sent for training so that they can operate advanced machines and provide services to people on a rotational basis,” he added. On the demand for a mini-AIIMS in Ladakh, LG Gupta said the administration would make sincere efforts. “We are trying and efforts often succeed. We do not make promises, as promises can be broken,” he said—(KNO)
